Leave when danger is present
Leave the affected area and contact the appropriate emergency authority for fire, structural movement, electrical arcing, gas odor or another immediate life-safety concern.
Avoid wet electrical areas
Do not touch electrical equipment, outlets or breakers while standing in water. Do not enter rooms where a ceiling is sagging or materials may fall.
Treat contaminated water cautiously
Keep people and pets away from sewage and outside floodwater. Avoid direct contact and tell the responding provider about the source.
